India now lures global educational providers

India appears to have become the market where all the global education providers are heading for, including the the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), which is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for teenagers.

CIE chief executive Ann Puntis, who is in the Capital to address a seminar for teachers, said the fees in CIE is 20% of the International Baccalaureat (IB) diploma that is offered in top-end schools in India.

Around 200 schools in India offer CIE, which is the British system of school qualifications.

CIE South Asia director Mark Batholomew said, “Schools that offer IB such as Pathways, GD Goenka and Sri Ram School also offer CIE.”
